The Aurland licence covers over 200 lakes across seven zones, from Rallarvegen and the Flåm watercourse in the south to the Aurland watercourse and the Hallingdal border. Most lakes hold a thin stock of large fish, and Arctic char is found in zone 6, the Flåm watercourse. In zone 1 the average weight of net-caught fish was 0.41 kg in 2021. In Stemmerdalen along Fv. 50 there is a fishing path adapted for wheelchair users.

Advisory

- In the high fells the ice often lasts until mid-July.

- Net fishing is open to non-residents in the Storebotn watercourse and some lakes around Stemmerdalen, by arrangement with the mountain board.
- The administration asks for catch reports giving the lake, the number of fish, weights and the largest fish.
