Nymph and dry fly for brown trout and grayling. Rivers and streams are closed from 15 September until the ice breaks up, and in the Folla the minimum size is 20 cm.

Jig and worm through the ice on the mountain lakes. In Einøvlingsvatnet, Storrvatnet and Søre Kvitdalsvatnet there is no limit on the number of lines.

Advisory

- Rod and handline fishing is allowed in all lakes all year.
- In rivers and streams fishing is banned from 15 September until the ice breaks up in spring.
- In Fokstua nature reserve all fishing is banned from 1 May through 31 July.
- The fishing season follows the calendar year.
- The licence covers Grimsdalen and Dovrefjell state commons, Statskog's Hjerkinn and Fokstua estates, Ryddølstjønne, the fish pond at Vegaskillet and Langtjønn (Joramo b. alm.), but not Avsjøen and Grisungvatna.
- The listing states no catch limit.
- In rivers and streams only rod and handline are allowed, and in the Folla the minimum size is 20 cm.
- Non-residents may fish with otter board in Vålåsjøen, Einøvlingsvatnet, Storrvatnet, Kvitdalsvatna, Hjerkinndammen, Horrtjønnin and Dørålsvatnet, and with nets in Vålåsjøen, Einøvlingsvatnet, Storrvatnet, Horrtjønnin and Kvitdalsvatna under their own rules for number, mesh size and period.
- Set gear must not stand closer than 100 m to an inlet or outlet, and not in the lake between 10:00 and 17:00.
- Statskog's Norgeskort is also valid in the Hjerkinn and Fokstua estates.
- Verify with Dovre fjellstyre.
