Flagstadelva runs through Hedmarken and enters Mjøsa at Åkersvika, just east of Hamar centre. The licence covers the river from Åkersvika up to the border with Vang Almenning, and the river is 10–12 metres wide and can be waded except in flood. Flagstadelva is an important spawning river for Mjøsa trout, and at high water you can catch large Mjøsa trout in the lower parts.

Advisory

- Rod fishing is allowed from 1 May through 30 August.
- In rivers and streams where Mjøsa trout spawn, all fishing is banned from 1 September through 30 April.
- There is no minimum size, and the listing states no catch limit.
- Nets, set lines, fixed gear, spears, artificial light and minnows are banned at all times, and so are motorboats.
- Everyone aged 16 or over must buy a licence.
- Verify with Vang Grunneierlag SA.
