Innerdalen lies in western Trollheimen, with deep valleys and steep peaks, and has been a landscape protection area since 1967. The river and lakes sit between 400 and 1000 m above sea level. Plenty of fine small-stream trout, and in some pools and lakes trout well over half a kilo. Renndalsvatnet and Meskarvatnet are a 2-3 hour walk away, Giklingdalen around 1.5 hours.

- In Storvatnet in Giklingdalen there is a daily limit of 1 fish over 800 g, with a free take of fish below that size, and only rod fishing is allowed there.
- Otherwise the licence covers rod and otter board in all lakes, with no quota limit.
- Catch reporting is mandatory.
- Children and young people under 16 fish for free.
- Apart from earthworm, live bait is not allowed.
- Verify the rules with Renndølsetra.
