Lågen in Øyer, from Hunderfossen and upstream. The zone offers both calm and wilder river stretches, several large trout are landed every year, and the grayling fishing is very good, especially in autumn. It also holds whitefish, perch and burbot. The river reservoirs below Hovdfossen are shaped by the regulation of Lågen, with slow-flowing, stained water.

## Licence and rules

Advisory

- Fishing is allowed all year, but brown trout is protected from 1 Sep to 31 May up to Harpefoss.
- Trolling is only allowed 1 Jun to 31 Aug.
- During the closed season for brown trout, only bait hook and fly are allowed, maximum hook size 10 and no tube flies; the limit does not apply to flies of hook size 8 or smaller.
- Catch quota of a maximum 5 brown trout per season per angler above the 30 cm minimum size.
- When trolling, a maximum of 3 spoons, flies, plugs or other baits per boat, and outriggers such as planer boards are not allowed.
- The licence covers rod, handline and fly-otter with a maximum hook size of 8, but otter-board fishing is not allowed on the regulated stretch from Hunderfossen to Hølsauget.
- A season licence runs from the purchase date to 31 Dec.
- Under-18s fish for free.
- Some landowners are not members of the association, so respect "no fishing" signs.
- Note that the licence states "no catch limits" in its quota field, while the fishing rules in the same listing state the quota above.
