Zone 7 · River · Lesja

Lågen from the Skråkka outlet, about 7 km below Lesjaskogsvatnet, down to the Dovre boundary, plus the Lora river up to the commons boundary. The river runs through forest and the open farmland of the Lesja valley, is slow-flowing and can be very clear, with a sandy bottom, so in good conditions you see the fish. Much of the zone has easy access from a number of bridges and is easy to wade.

### Precise fishing in crystal-clear water

Class 3-5 with long, fine leaders. A sandy bottom and clear water mean you often see the fish, and the fish sees you. In the fly zones only fly fishing where the line carries the cast is allowed, barbless.

Small, discreet spoons and spinners in the 19 km middle section. The zone 7 licence is not valid inside the fly zones.

Advisory

- Season 1 Jun to 11 Sep.
- An extended season in the fly zone runs 12 Sep to 20 Sep for fly anglers between Brustugubrue and Lora bru, on a separate licence, and then all fish must be released.
- The zone is split in three: an upper fly zone of 3 km, a middle part of 19 km that is not a fly zone, and a lower fly zone of 3 km.
- The lower fly zone was shortened by 250 m at its upper end from 2024 and now ends at Kvernåi rather than Brustugubrue.
- Outside the fly zones: all brown trout over 35 cm must be released, except that each angler may keep 1 brown trout over 35 cm per day, and anglers must carry a measure.
- In the fly zones only fly fishing where the line carries the cast is allowed, flies must be barbless, and the quota is 2 fish per day, brown trout or grayling under 35 cm, while all brown trout over 35 cm must be released.
- When in doubt, put the fish back.
- Outside the fly zones worm, lure and fly are allowed.
- Under-18s fish for free.
- Verify with the landowners association.
