Zone 8 · River · Vågå

Zone 8 runs from the Sel boundary in the south and follows the Otta river up to and including Vågåvatnet (362 m above sea level), by way of Lalmsvatnet (355 m). The Otta river offers exciting brown trout fishing, and Vågåvatnet gives good sport fishing for brown trout, grayling and Arctic char. Vågåvatnet and, in part, Lalmsvatnet are the true lakes inside this licence area.

Class 4-6. Nymph for grayling in the river, dry fly along the shoreline of Vågåvatnet on calm evenings.

Vågåvatnet is the only zone with Arctic char. Fish deeper along steep edges and at inlets.
