With few exceptions, the licence covers all lakes in the municipality, and many of them are quiet forest lakes. The association names brown trout, perch and Arctic char among others, and the listing also gives pike, whitefish and grayling. Randsfjorden is not part of the licence. Eastern Norway ## Gear and lures - Spinning ### Spinners and spoons in the forest lakes Spinners and light spoons from the shore or a boat. Warmer colours often stand out in stained water. Use a steel trace where pike can be present. - Fly ### Fly for brown trout Class 4-6 with nymph and dry fly along the edges and at inlets, best on calm evenings. - Bait ### Ice fishing with a jigging spoon Ice-fishing rods and ice hooks (støkroker) are the permitted gear on the ice. [Whitefish](https://finnfisk.no/en/sikfiske) Hard to catch on lures, usually taken on net or worm. Rarely a sport target, but present in many waters. Centre: 60.6495, 10.2877 ## Licence and rules Advisory - Rod fishing from the shore and from a boat is allowed from ice-out up to and including 15 September. - Ice fishing with ice-fishing rods and ice hooks (støkroker) is allowed. - The licence is valid for the calendar year. - Anyone over 16 must buy a licence. - Live bait is banned. - Boats without a motor may be used on the lakes on Veståsen and Øståsen, and a boat with a motor under 5 hp on Trevatn on Øståsen. - Disinfect the boat, fishing gear and motor when you move between lakes. - Fyke-net fishing for perch is allowed from ice-out up to and including 15 September. - The minimum size for brown trout is 20 cm in Selsjøen, Store Sørvatnet, Vesle Sørvatnet, Løynfiske, Nordre Dalavatnet, Store Sandungen, Kringlevann, Nora, Kalvsjøen, Bergevatnet, Nordre Sandtjern, Skautrustjern, Gamlesandtjernet, Austre Øytjernet and Åbortjernet on Veståsen, and in the rivers that run into and out of them. - In rivers and brooks only rod and handline are allowed. - In rivers and brooks where trout from Randsfjorden spawn, all fishing is banned from 1 Sep to 30 Apr. - The listing states no catch limit. - Verify with Søndre Land Viltlag.
