Brown trout live in almost all the lakes, and several lakes also hold Arctic char. Centre: 61.4871, 9.8603 ## Licence and rules Advisory - No fishing is allowed from 10 September through 10 October. - In Søre Lia, fishing is otherwise allowed all year. - In Nordre Lia, rod and otter board fishing from the shore applies from 15 May. - The otter board is allowed 15 Jun to 31 Jul on Håkåsetervatnet and Fagerlivatnet, and 16 Jun to 31 Jul on Valsvatnet, Storstultjern and Svintjern. - On Gålåvatnet, rod fishing from the shore is allowed all season, rod fishing from a boat 15 Jun to 31 Aug, and otter board fishing from the shore and from a boat 15 Jun to 15 Jul. - The listing states no catch limit. - Lågen zone 4: rod and otter board from the shore and from a boat, and ice fishing. - Some landowners along Lågen are not part of the scheme, so respect "Fiske forbudt" (no fishing) signs. - Nordre Lia: rod and otter board from the shore on all lakes except Storjetningen, Veslejetningen, Skervangen and Øyangen, ice fishing included. - Søre Lia: rod from the shore in all lakes and rivers. - Otter board from the shore, and otter board and rod from a boat, on Gåslona, Vendalsvatnet, Jamfrusto, Hattsto and the part of Gompen that lies in Sør-Fron. - Otter board from the shore and rod from a boat on Øvre and Nedre Kanlitjønna, Storrgrova and Øvre Gardtjønna. - Ice fishing on Vendalsvatnet, Jamfrusto, Hattsto and the Sør-Fron part of Gompen, and ice fishing on Vendalsvatnet is free. - Ryssland og Skurdal: rod and otter board from the shore and from a boat on Håkåsetervatnet and the Sør-Fron part of Fagerlivatnet, rod and otter board from the shore on Valsvatnet, Storstultjern and Svintjern, and rod from the shore and from a belly boat on Abbortjern. - Ice fishing on Håkåsetervatnet, Fagerlivatnet and Svintjern. - Net fishing is not allowed on Fagerlivatnet, Valsvatnet, Storstultjern and Svintjern. - On Håkåsetervatnet, at least one fine-mesh net (19.5 mm) is required for every 5 nets. - Groundbaiting is not allowed when ice fishing. - The toll on the Søre Lia mountain-farm roads is paid through Youpark.no. - Verify with Vestfjellkortet SA.
