The Vulufjell state commons lies on the east side of Lågen in Sør-Fron and Nord-Fron, and the whole commons is inside Rondane National Park. No roads lead in, but from Kvamsnysetra, Fryvollan and Søre Eldåseter it is a short walk into the area. The commons has 3 lakes and 20 km of river with brown trout and Arctic char, and Fremre and Indre Vulutjønn, at 1063 and 1072 m above sea level, are good fishing lakes with a fair size of both species. Bågåskardstjønna holds plenty of small char, and among the rivers Eldåa in particular is counted as a good fishing river.

Among the rivers, Eldåa in particular is counted as a good fishing river. Class 4-5 with nymph and dry fly. In rivers and streams only rod fishing is allowed.

Advisory

- The rod licences on inatur are valid 1 Jan to 31 Dec.
- The regulations give no fishing season for rod fishing.
- Children under 16 fish for free with a rod.
- People without usage rights may fish with one rod or one handline only.
- In rivers, streams and still pools, only rod fishing is allowed.
- Net fishing is only for permanent residents of Nord-Fron and Sør-Fron, in the Vulutjønn lakes and Bågåskardstjønna, and nets may not stand in the lakes between 09:00 and 18:00.
