The card lets you fish with one piece of tackle from the shore or the ice in every OFA lake and river. - You can fish OFA’s lakes all year. Everyone under 18 fishes free in OFA’s area. Adults buy the card on inatur.no, in OFA’s web shop or with Vipps, and the receipt counts as the fishing card. An inspector can ask you to show it. ### Can I fish in Maridalsvannet? - No. Maridalsvannet is Oslo’s main drinking water source, and Oslo kommune forbids swimming, fishing, ice fishing, crayfishing and boats on the lake and the waters around it. The kommune’s map shows where the ban applies. Guards patrol the area, and a breach is a criminal offence. ### Can I fish in the sea in Oslo? - Not in the inner Oslofjord. From 1 January 2026 the inner Oslofjord is a no-fishing zone, inside a line from Horten to Jeløya in Moss, and all the sea at Oslo lies within it. All fishing there is forbidden all year, commercial and recreational, with a rod from land too. Children may still catch crabs with a line.
