Terms of use

Fishing rules, seasons, size limits, quotas, closed periods and prices are set by the rights holder and by regulation, not by us. Figures and text here can be out of date or wrong. Always check with the rights holder, the licence seller or the county governor before you fish.

Colour advice, gear advice and bite times are experience-based rules of thumb. They are not promises of fish.

An account is personal. Do not share your sign-in. You are responsible for what gets posted from your account.

Nicknames are unique and optional. Do not pick a name that passes itself off as someone else.

The wall is a public page. Anything you post there can be read, linked and downloaded by anyone, including after you take it back down. Post accordingly.

You keep your photo

You own the copyright to the photos you upload. You give Finnfisk the right to display the photo on the wall and on the catch’s own page for as long as the entry stands. Take the entry down and that right ends.

What may not be posted

• Photos you did not take, or are not allowed to share.
• Recognisable people who have not agreed, and children without a parent’s consent.
• Catches taken against the rules: protected species, closed season, illegal gear.
• Offensive, hateful or harassing content.
• Advertising, link spam and anything that is not a catch.

Every entry has a report button on its own page. Reporting requires an account. If it is urgent, or you have no account, email bjarne@oever.li.

We may hide or delete an entry without notice. Hiding is reversible and does not touch the photo. Deleting removes the image file itself, and the photo then also disappears from the catch in your own log. We use the latter when the content requires the file to stop existing.

Repeated breaches can lead to the account being closed.

Finnfisk is provided as is, without warranties, and can be down or wrong. Fishing is at your own risk: the ice, the weather, the water and the regulations are your responsibility, not this site’s. We are not liable for losses arising from something here being wrong or unavailable.
