Fishing tips

  1. Very species-rich. If you want pike: large plugs and jigs with a wire trace in shallow water early and late in the season.

  2. Brown trout and perch take spinners and small plugs along the edges. Stained water can take gold and copper.

    All-round spinning

Spinners and plugs for trout and perch; a wire leader if you fish for pike.

Nymph and dry fly along the shallows and inlets.

The fish here

  • Brown trout

Active at first light and dusk. Lures and flies. Fish along edges, inlets and rocks.

  • Grayling

Loves nymphs and small dry flies. A discreet presentation in clear water. Common in Lågen.

  • Arctic char

Often in deeper water in mountain lakes. Small spoons in red or natural colours. Best morning and evening.

  • Whitefish

Hard to catch on lures, usually taken on net or worm. Rarely a sport target, but present in many waters.

  • Perch

A shoaling fish. Small jigs, worms and spinners. Coloured water can take louder colours.

  • Pike

Big, visible baits. A wire trace is a must. Shallow water early and late in the season.

Other fish in the water

  • Burbot
  • Eurasian minnow

Recorded by fish surveys in or next to this water (Artskart: NINA and Vannmiljø). Not all are sport fish; several are forage or introduced species.
