The part of Gudbrandsdalslågen and the Otta river that lies in Sel municipality, about 45 km long. The rivers are varied, with slow-flowing stretches and the occasional rapid in between. The zone suits everyone from families to specialist fly anglers, the water at Selsvollene is known for its good grayling fishing, and the zone contains a fly-fishing stretch of its own.

Active at first light and dusk. Lures and flies. Fish along edges, inlets and rocks.
Grayling
Loves nymphs and small dry flies. A discreet presentation in clear water. Common in Lågen.

Advisory

Fishing is allowed all year.
From ice-out through 20 May, fly only is allowed, maximum hook size 10 and no tube flies, and brown trout may not be taken in that period.
The zone contains a fly-fishing stretch of about 5 km, from the marker wire across Lågen roughly 150 m above Hågåbrua to Laurgårdsbrua at Sel.
A small area at the southern end of the fly zone is excluded and is marked on the ground.
In the fly zone only a fly rod, or fly and float, may be used, hooks must be barbless, and fishing from a boat is banned.
Quota in the fly zone: each angler may kill 2 fish, brown trout or grayling, under 35 cm per day, and all fish over 35 cm must be released.
Outside the fly zone there is no catch limit.
A marked area around Grenet is closed to fishing from 15 Sep to 1 Nov because of spawning.
Children under 16 fish for free.
