Fishing in Nordland
The 37 municipalities in Nordland counted here have 4,893 named lakes in NVE's lake database between them. 199 of them have a fishing-card offer on inatur nearby. 3 of the curated fishing spots on Finnfisk are in the county. A water on the list is not permission to fish it: check what the card actually covers, and which rules apply locally.
Herøy is not counted here. Norway has two municipalities called Herøy, one in Møre og Romsdal and one in Nordland. Finnfisk reads the lakes from NVE by municipality name, so it merges the two. The page for Herøy shows both together.

“Fishing-card offer nearby” counts the waters with a fishing-card offer on inatur within 2.5 km. It does not say that the card covers the water. Cards sold anywhere else are not counted. “Most GBIF records” is the species with the most records in the municipality, among those with at least five. A dash means no species has five.

Species recorded in Nordland
The number is the sum of GBIF occurrence records in the municipalities where the species has at least five. It is not a measure of how much fish there is. It says the species has been observed in the county, not that it is in any particular water, and not that fishing for it is permitted.
The guides to the species with the most records: brown trout, Atlantic salmon and Arctic char.
The rules in Nordland
Finnfisk does not reproduce local rules, because they are set per water and per watercourse and they change. Season, minimum and maximum sizes, daily quotas and closed seasons come from the rights holder who sells the card, and from the regional regulation. The regional fishing authority in Nordland is the County Governor of Nordland, Statsforvalteren.
Sources: NVE lake database (waters), GBIF (species records), SSB (municipality and county) and inatur (fishing cards). Every number is the sum of the municipality pages in the county. Rules are not reproduced here, verify locally.
